Global practice in the administration of the arts is undergoing profound transformations as a result of changing funding systems, management practices, and audiences. The new International Leadership Program in Visual Arts Management – ILPVAM, an executive part-time certificate program, combines advanced business theory and techniques together with the latest concepts and global trends in visual arts management and administration. It provides a rigorous, engaging educational program and networking opportunity for experienced professionals in the visual arts or related fields.

This innovative approach to learning comprises five-day modules taught in English by experts in their respective fields over the course of seven months, and is conducted in three geographical areas – Europe, America, and the Middle East. The location of these intensive modules provides an exceptional immersive on-site experience.

The Program is intended for professionals with at least five years of relevant experience in the field of visual arts or related arts fields. Candidates without experience in the arts but significant professional experience at an executive level and interested in advancing their career in this area will also be considered. All candidates must be able to participate effectively in English.

Completion of all three modules leads to the award of a Program Certificate by the University of Deusto and New York University.

The International Leadership Program in Visual Arts Management – ILPVAM is a collaborative effort between Deusto Business School (University of Deusto, Spain), the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development (New York University, USA), and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (Bilbao, Spain).
