Happy New Year! 2011 witnessed the birth of the Art of the Mid East Blog, and although a new year has arrived, I will keep my promise to the blog’s readers to continually enhance and further develop Art of the Mid East to keep everyone up to date and informed of all the developments taking place in the Middle Eastern art world. To start with, I plan on featuring many more artists this year, and will include in depth coverage of Middle Eastern art collectors. I also plan on attending this year’s Art Dubai and Menasart, and will be covering both extensively. Through this blog, my hope was (and still is) to showcase the world our region’s artistic talent. I am happy that the blog has played its role in enhancing the status of Middle Eastern art to the rest of the world, and this is evident through the many views the blog receives from as diverse of places as New Zaelend, Malaysia, Cameroon, Chile, and Uzbekistan, to name a few. I have also received many emails from people around the world, who are happy to have finally found an online portal where they can access all things related to Middle Eastern art. This only motivates me further to continue on my path to promote Middle Eastern art to the world.
May you all have a fun, safe, and enjoyable 2012. I thank you all for your continued support.
