I first came across Chaouki Chamoun’s work in Canvas magazine. I found his style very unique and appealing. One of his most unique styles are his paintings with tiny people painted standing at the bottom of the work. His work takes a great magnitude of time, skill, and concentration. His styles are some of the most unique I have come across so far.

Chaouki on his work:
“I am always in search for new aesthetic vocabulary in the making of my art. I do not believe that one single style or one single subject matter would ever express all my demanding aesthetic needs. I find in the return to nature and to the things themselves the source for my new imagery, creative methods and tools in the creation of new artworks. This philosophy has marked my development as an artist, helped me identify the most fitting of my inspirations and provided me with a firm intellectual and practical backing to my artistic convictions and believes. Aesthetic quality is my aspiration, when I see it I leave my name on it.”
